Tell Pagosa locals that you are staying in "4-Mile" and your bound to hear, "Oh, it's beautiful out there."  Indeed it is.  One of the greatest things about the cabin is its proximity to the hot springs, downtown, restaurants, cafe's, shopping, and all that Pagosa has to offer (just minutes away), while still feeling like you're "in the mountains" - because you are! 

When you leave the cabin driveway, turning left takes you quickly back to town, but turning right and staying on the county road for 20 minutes takes you to the 4 Mile falls trailhead, one of the most popular hikes in all of Pagosa Springs.  

The 10 acre property is at 7,560' in elevation and is surrounded by tall mature forest.  

We see  local wildlife almost every day (deer, chipmunks, turkeys, birds and sometimes even bears).  

The golden sunsets from our front porch are truly incredible.

We have enjoyed being guests in vacation rentals for years, so when it  came time for us to host our own guests, we decided there would be no cutting corners when it comes to hospitality.  Bed linens and mattresses are qualified for coziness, towels are fresh, fluffy and large, and soft sitting areas and napping spots abound.  Our bathrooms feature hand picked shampoos, conditioners and bath products.  Your own private spa in the mountains!

At 2,790 SF (including 4 large bedrooms) the cabin is large enough for a family or small group but intimate enough for a weekend  getaway.  The downstairs master includes its own gas fireplace, and has an en suite bath with a walk-in shower and jetted tub.  Two upstairs guest rooms, each with queen bed and a desk, are tastefully decorated in woodlands and alps themes, and have bedside lamps/nightstands with built-in USB chargers.  The fourth bed is a twin in a large upstairs multi-purpose room.  The upstairs bathroom is a true full-bath with plenty of extra towels and the same amenities we stock in the master.
